Save the Date

So as far as I know, all of my Save the Dates have been received by my wedding guests.

Now I can finally talk about these little things that I have been working on for a month!! =)

For a long time now, I have had my eye on these
"Fast Pass - Save the Dates" on Etsy.
I was just waiting until I had a date to actually order one . . .

I ordered this design from a vendor called.  .
"Something Printable"
if you would like to check out more of the what she has, here is the link:

This vendor makes a whole bunch of cute Disney printable
designs that I love! <3

Once I got the design, I went on Vista Prints and ordered a bunch of magnets
to put my design onto. Vista Prints shipped the magnets so fast and they came out AMAZING! Better than I had hoped!!

So once I had the magnets, I knew I couldn't just send
them plain, so I made a little holder for the magnets on my own.

I used "invitation paper" (that hard computer paper that people usually use to make cards with) and I took scrap book paper that I bought from Michael's,
and glued the two together. I printed the "Keep Calm" saying out from
my own creation on Microsoft Word.

I then punched two holes on the side of the Fass Pass Magnet, & tied
a silver sparkly bow around the magnet ('cause I love silver sparkles).

The scrap book paper is very glittery also!
The picture doesn't really show it off!

So there you have it! Save the Dates are done!!

Now on to searching for Wedding Invitations. . . .

Bridal Party

And the Bridal Party is. . .

Last week, I made small cards to mail to my sisters to ask them to be my Maid of Honor and Bridesmaid
Both of them knew that they were going to be apart of my wedding so I figured I could skip all the crazy, surprising stuff and I did my own thing.

For Daria, my middle sister and Maid of Honor I sent her this:

My sisters and I have always quoted the movie Zoolander. We think it is hilarious and we love Ben Stiller! So like I said, since I figured that my sisters knew I was going to ask them, I wanted to add a little humor to asking them.

For Jayme, my youngest sister, and Bridesmaid, I sent her this:

Again, I chose another movie that my sisters and I love.. Sorority Boys. Like I said I wanted to add humor into the whole "asking to be in my bridal party thing."

and I guess the humor worked because they both said yes!! =)

I am so happy to be having both of my sisters by my side for my special day!!

Check back for more information on
our date!! It will be posted by
the end of the week!

Progress. . .

One thing down. . .
So relieved today that we have our date, yet so excited! I went on to Etsy.com and ordered our "Save the Dates."

Yeah, yeah, I know, I don't waste any time. But I am SUPER excited
and I am not the type of person who waits to get things done. When
         I want to do something..
                                             I DO IT!

Anyways, yesterday when we found out our date, we got a letter of agreement attached to it. The letter of agreement basically states how many people are invited, and our names/addresses and other personal information.

We also have to reserve a room block. The room block guarantees that our guests get to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort for a discounted price.

We have to choose between 3 different hotels:
one value (cheapest)
one moderate (moderately price - obvi)
and one deluxe (high priced)

We had our 3 different hotels chosen months ago when we first met with the planner.

We are going with:

The Contemporary Hotel for our Deluxe choice.

For those of you who do not know, the Contemporary Hotel is located right next to The Magic Kingdom. The monorail that transports guests to the Magic Kingdom from 3 other deluxe hotels and the Transportation and Ticket Center, actually runs right through this hotel! Pretty AWESOME!

We chose this hotel for our guests because they offered the best discounted room rate for a deluxe hotel. Most of our guests who are very familiar with Disney World, have never stayed here either! We thought it would be nice to choose a new place to stay so that when people come back to visit and they pass The Contemporary the will say "Oh remember when we stayed there for the wedding?!"
*At least we are hoping our guests will say that =)

For our moderate hotel we chose...

                                   Port Orleans - French Quarter

So for those of you who don't know, French Quarter is based on a city of New Orleans theme. We actually got a chance to stay here last summer and we love it! There is a small ferry boat that takes you to Downtown Disney (WIN! - None of the other moderate resorts do).

Like every other Disney Hotel, the rooms are clean and beautiful. When you walk from your room to the lobby, you will literally feel like you are in New Orleans!

We chose this hotel because out of all the moderates (and trust me, I have stayed at every one), we liked this one the best! The scenery is beautiful!

and on to our Value Resort choice..

All Star Music Resort

We went with the All Star Music Resort as our value choice because the transportation buses to and from the parks stop here first! The buses pick up all 3 of the All Star Resorts to transport guests to the parks. The buses pick up and drop off guests at the All Star Music before going to the other 2 resorts. So we figured this would be the most convenient for our guests.

Well there ya have it!
Those are our hotel choices! Guests feel free to pick from any of those 3 =)

We are super excited to finalize one decision.. now on

to about 100,000,000 more!!

Welcome!

Welcome to my Wedding Blog!

So since I am only a year away from my DREAM wedding at the Walt Disney World resort in Florida, I am deciding to write this blog so that years from now I can look back at all of my wedding preparation! I also want to keep my friends and family involved and up-to-date on my wedding planning since I live so far away from everyone.

Tomorrow (*fingers crossed*) I will be finding out whether or not we will be getting our requested venue! And if we do, that means......

We will finally have a wedding date!

I am so, so, excited! Not really sure how I am going to get through the work day tomorrow. I will be checking my phone CONSTANTLY! Say your prayers that we get this date! I really want it!!

So even though we don't exactly have our date set yet, I have been in full preparation for this wedding! Starting with my return address labels for my save the dates..
Click Here to Check Them Out!

Not only have I got my return address labels out of the way but I finally finished my "Save the Date" envelopes.

I know, what you're probably thinking..."Envelopes? What are you doing
to your envelopes? Aren't they the least important?" Well my answer to
that is...NOPE!

When you are having your wedding in Disney World, where everything is so detail oriented, I need to make sure that everything I do is detail oriented too!

Spoiler Alert!!
For those family and friends whom are invited to the wedding and want to wait until they receive their save the dates in the mail, DO NOT SCROLL DOWN FURTHER!

However, if you are one of those people who need to see things right away (I don't blame you, I am the same way)...SCROLL ON DOWN!

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3

O.K., so here is a picture of the back of my envelope.

I'm Obsessed!

What I did was, I went to Michael's Craft Store and bought scrap book paper.
* The scrap book paper is going to be used in part of the "save the dates, but that will be shown at another time!*
I used the left over scrap paper and cut it into very thin strips. I used extreme stick glue and glued the strip of scrap book paper to the very bottom of the envelope opening (just to add a little princess, sparkle, Tiffany blue flair).

I also bought some rhinestone stickers (again in the scrapbook section)
and placed 3 of them in the corner to resemble Mickey Mouse!

I hope my guests love these envelopes as much as I do!

It didn't take too long to do, but I only had about 23 to make.
** one reason why small weddings are so nice =)

And on to the "Save the Dates"...
but that is for another day!

"Save the Dates" are still a work in progress!

Check back soon for more entries!
